Report, don't complain
Every report carries a photo, a location and a category so a crew can act on it without a second visit.
About us
Club de la Amistad por un Hialeah Mejor is a volunteer organization that puts friendly eyes on every street of Hialeah — and turns what they see into work orders for the city that maintains them.

“If we see it first, the city can fix it faster.”
Edith Calvo founded the club after years of walking the same few blocks and noticing the same faded crosswalks and tagged signal boxes month after month. She started photographing them, called the city herself, and kept a notebook of what got fixed.
That notebook is now a volunteer network that covers most of the city. Edith trains every new volunteer personally, keeps the reporting log, and meets monthly with city departments to review what is still open.

To make Hialeah more beautiful through attention: a resident who notices, documents and reports is worth more to public maintenance than any complaint line. We report; the city repairs; the neighborhood improves.
The flags of the countries our neighbors came from ring the medallion; inside, arms joined around the seal of the City of Hialeah. Friendship first, then the work.
Every report carries a photo, a location and a category so a crew can act on it without a second visit.
We knock on doors before we file reports. Neighbors tell us more than any survey ever could.
An issue stays on our log until the city marks it repaired — and we publish what is still open.
